Hi, I’m Patrick, the co-founder and head copywriter around here. I like movies, dim sum, and spending time in the countryside with my wife. I’m originally from Cape Town, where I co-founded a copywriting agency in 2020 that’s still going strong. In mid-2023, I moved to Barcelona and have since launched Full Stop. Sometimes I write for newspapers and magazines. I also dabble in some scriptwriting. Before this wordy life, I spent over a decade as an events organiser and several years in the fashion industry, launching brands and building companies from scratch.
I guess the above makes me a pretty well-rounded individual who (mostly) understands people and their needs. I have the solution. What’s your problem?
Lily Helps
I’m Lily, co-founder of Full Stop & Patrick’s wife, or for the feminists, he’s my husband. I’m not a copywriter, but I certainly have opinions (he’s a kind and patient man). What’s my role? I do the day-to-day: design, finding and pitching to clients, and all things autocratic (kidding!).
My background, like my childhood, is varied. Born in the UK, my family moved to Mallorca at 3 months old, Cape Town at 8, Glastonbury at 13 (perfect timing for my teenage years to collide with the world’s best festival), London at 17, and Barcelona at 19. All that moving taught me how to read people, blend in, stand out, and ultimately understand human behaviour, aka, storytelling, which is exactly what we do.
Professionally (yawn), my path has been just as mixed. I started modelling young, launched a FemTech app (derailed by the pandemic—thankfully), then did a Master’s in Interior Design. I thrive in change (or so my therapist says 🙄), which is why where I’m at now is the perfect fit. No two jobs or clients are the same, and that’s exactly how I like it. I have finally settled.
